Our most recent Business SATA Raid Recovery was from a Dell server with 3 250 gig SATA Dell Western Digital hard drives. Drive 0 was non recoverable due to extreme platter damage from a head crash. Drive 1 was forensically imaged with no problems. Drive 2 was forensically imaged with over 880,000 bad sectors. The images were de striped and the array reconstructed with 100 percent of the data recovered. Not only was all the business data and website on the array, the only backup copy was on the same array. Raid arrays are not a replacement for a completely separate backup.
